The 60th anniversary of the
Jaguar E-type was celebrated in fine style as around 400 E-types, their owners, sixty specialist exhibitors and enthusiastic visitors gathered for E-type 60. The event, sponsored by
SNG Barratt Group and Twyford Moors, was held under the sunniest skies of the year at the historic and spectacular
Shelsley Walsh motorsport setting.

Our film partner Berlinetta Films brought the weekend’s activities back into sharp focus, capturing the significant moments of what was an exceptional gathering of E-types.
Yes. - it was fantastic. I could only make the Saturday and had a great drive over with a few of the W Midlands members who similarly enjoyed the day. Thanks for helping to arrange it all - it was very memorable.

Thank you to all of you for putting together a fabulous weekend from all of us in Lancashire & Cumbria Regions of the E-type & XK Clubs.
I have had very positive feedback from the members who attended and we look forward to similar national events in the future.
Keep up the good work, it's really appreciated.

Good morning to y’all,
A note to congratulate you on a marvellous event at Shelsley Walsh.
I thoroughly enjoyed the whole weekend, splendid cars, glorious weather, seamless organisation and most importantly charming people. Everyone I met either here at the hotel or wandering around the event were enjoying the day and interesting to chat to.
I know there is always lots of clearing up etc to do after an event like this, however I hope you have a chance to take a rest which you thoroughly deserve!
Please pass my thanks to the rest of your team.
Martin (XK Club Rep)
Jaguar’s E2A, the prototype race car built to compete at Le Mans in 1960, driven up the historic hillclimb course at Shelsley Walsh by Chris Keith-Lucas of CKL Developments. The E2A’s significance, as the crucial development link between D- and E-type, goes far beyond its mixed race results – a Jaguar motorsport jewel and an historical marvel. Video by Berlinetta Films.
E-type History & Style
For many the E-type is simply the most beautiful car ever produced. They top every poll.
Jaguar’s heritage is second to none with seven Le Mans wins (five in the 50s and two in the 60s), international rally successes, record-breaking, race wins on every continent and a loyal following in Hollywood with many of the biggest stars of the day.
In 1961, Jaguar launched the E-type sports car at the Geneva Motor Show. The car on the Show stand and the two Press cars, 9600 HP and 77 RW, would not be seen together again until their incredible reunion at at E-type 60 at Shelsley Walsh in July 2021. Video by Berlinetta Films.
The final E-type to leave the factory, celebrated here in all its V12 open two-seater glory at Shelsley Walsh. Power and elegance defined. Video by Berlinetta Films.
To many the E-type is simply the greatest sports car of all time. It has everything: sensuous sculptural beauty, allied to superb performance, as proven by its successful career on the race track, and, above all, is a fantastically enjoyable car to drive and utterly usable. This beauty is no prima donna.
Our 'E-type 60' event in June at Shelsley Walsh Hillclimb was designed to be a fitting tribute to the sensational E-type and a fabulous celebration of the car and the period into which it was born, a period when people and cars could be free spirits.
